This is Thursday, December 19, 2024 and we are continuing our theme of Joy during this Advent season.  Luke 15:6-7 provides a powerful illustration of God’s rejoicing over one sinner who repents.
Today is Monday December 16 and the Advent word for the Week is Joy.
The book of Isaiah is written in 2 parts. The first 39 chapters tell of God’s judgement towards Judah (the other 11 tribes have already been judged) because they didn’t worship only God and they failed to provide justice to the poor
I don’t really like to think about the future. I tend to be an “in the moment” person. I think that for me, the future is unknown and scary.
Welcome to day 36 of Lent.
Yesterday marked the first day of Holy week where we think about, dwell upon, and meditate on the last few days before Jesus goes to the cross.
There’s this old story about Lazarus having to go before the religious rulers.
I love comedy.  I love to be funny.  Mostly I use sarcasm to make jokes.  The problem with that is that it’s usually at someone else’s expense. 
A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned a story about a young man who as a teenager was involved in shooting a gas station attendant. 
When Nolan was about 8 months old he started crawling like a madman. One evening Amy was working and I was cooking a pizza and when I went to pull it out of the oven it got stuck.
