Luke 2:8-14 – December 17th, 2020
Luke 2:8-14
Put yourself in the place of the shepherds. They are out watching over their flocks one night. Just like every other night. When an Angel of the Lord shows up. It freaks them out. The angel says “don’t worry, I bring you good news. Today in town of David, the Lord has been born. He in YOUR Messiah. Then more heavenly host appear saying “Glory to God & on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.” I don’t know about you but I would have been freaked out and excited all at the same time. Freaked out for the obvious reasons. Excited because I am a shepherd. The fact that God wanted me, a shepherd, to know about the birth of the Messiah would have excited me more than you can imagine. Jesus came for every single person. He loves you and more than that He is absolutely crazy about you. Today, I am going to join in with the Heavenly host saying “Glory to God in the highest.” What are you going to do?
