Matthew 2:9-12
There has been a lot of talk about The Christmas Star that is happening right now. People are excited to have the chance to see it. There has been a lot of talk about it. I imagine that is how it was for the wise men. But that time it was different. The star was leading them to the house of the Savior of the World. They were wise enough to follow it. When they entered the house, they new they were in the presence of God. What did they do? They gave him presents…some nice stuff…gold, frankincense, and myrhh. Then God told them, for their own safety, to go home another way. There are two observations I want to make and three things I want us to think about. Observations. First, God led them and they faithfully followed. Each step of the way. Second, they came prepared. Questions. Are you looking for God’s direction today? Are you following it? Are you prepared to do what God asks you to do?
